In this series, color and brushstrokes have taken precedence over form, capturing and communicating Aparna’s emotional landscape. This evolution reflects a newfound confidence in portraying tension, where the statement she wishes to make outweighs traditional aesthetic concerns. Mirroring her drive to absorb, experiment, and embrace the fleeting nature of time, she echoes the joy and vitality of life, embodying a sense of lightness and freedom that she sought to capture. Drawing inspiration from nature and the profound philosophies of Indian thought, she shares poetic narratives through her work. She paints stories of trees conversing, light enveloping the lands, the smell of rain and her own feelings towards Mother Earth. Each of her artworks is accompanied by a few lines of poetry to express her own feelings about the artwork. Additionally, her artwork titles, generally in Sanskrit, are an extended emotion she has about each work. In essence, her artworks are a testament to her romantic spirit, weaving dreams of forests, cerulean skies, and the gentle melodies of flowing rivers. She seeks to celebrate natures sense of peace, strength, introspection, and the boundless wonderment she feels towards it. Through my art practice she hopes to further explore the interplay between art, nature, and the human experience as a means of transcending cultural boundaries and fostering universal connections.
