Patrimonio means heritage, and the love for the same was what inspired Founder Director, Premal Sanghvi. He established this platform in 2008 with a focus on artist representation, building their legacies, and ensuring a robust resale market for their works. Engaging in meaningful collaborations with galleries and auction houses, Patrimonio ensures an enhanced outreach for artists via solo shows, group shows, art fair representation, and auction sales. Premal Sanghvi’s tryst with art began in 1995, with an art show of 100 leading Indian Modern & Contemporary artists all coming together to raise funds for an NGO, People For Animals. He began dealing for several contemporary artists and even organised an art exhibition on INS Vikrant, for the Mumbai Art Festival.
He represents Senaka Senanayake globally and Patrimonio Gallery hosts an online archive of the artist. Partnering with Grosvenor Gallery in the 2014, with solo shows at their gallery in London, New Delhi at Saffronart and several art fairs, including the India Art Fair, New Delhi, Art Miami, Miami, Art NY, New York, Abu Dhabi Art Fair, Abu Dhabi, and Art Dubai, Dubai.
His affinity for art was imbibed through his late father, and the same has passed on to his daughter and Director, Disti Premal Sanghvi, who aspires to further the gallery's role. Adapting the new normal, her focus is on building the art consultancy role of the gallery and collaborating with international artists and galleries. She plans to create archives for artists and explore NFTs at the opportune time. For art collectors we offer artists at source and even help build or remodel portfolios.
